It is human nature to covet and want things. In this rigmarole of everyday life, we sometimes forget that nothing can be achieved without breaking a sweat. The easy way out might seem tempting. But more often than not, the easy way leads to no where. The more you want something, the harder you will have to work to get it. At some point, you’ll realize that it’s the means to the end that is more valuable than the end itself.
Do whatever it takes to get to your goal. The thought of not achieving something will not bother you anymore if you know that you did everything within your means to achieve it. So the next time you want something, give it your best shot. Exhaust all possible options. Try everything. Finally it is the effort that counts. And even if you don’t achieve your goal, you are sure to have learned a valuable lesson. To quote Orison Swett Marden, “Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.”
